My friend and I, as usual, tried to find a Korean restaurant when we met for dinner. This evening we were at the Novena area and I found Hansang Korean Family restaurant and it seemed to have great reviews online. SERVICE 5/5 Service was great. The Korean 사모님 (manager/boss?) was very sweet and told my friend to make sure she mixes her noodles, well, and that noodle dish was actually her favorite. The rest of the staffs were polite too. FOOD 4/5 My 반계탕 (half ginseng chicken) was good, tho needed a tiny tad more salt. My friend said her bibim naenhmyeon 비빔 냉면 was very good. 냉면 is often a noodle dish she tends to order in a Korean restaurant. They were generous with the banchans for my set meal. AMBIANCE 4/5 This is a popular restaurant. Not much complaints about the ambiance; simple and with ample seatings. Would definitely recommend this restaurant when one is looking for a Korean restaurant in this area.

Lunch buffet ($18++) is a good value. Pancakes, rice cakes, salads, bulgolgi, fried rice, kimbab, etc. They usually have a seasonal dish and a soup/stew as well. It's not the best, and the spread could be better, but hey, it's under $20 for a lunch buffet...

Beef Omyun portion was good and filling, with vegetables, no MSG used in broth & simple side dishes. Dad tried their Beef Hotpot with steamed rice & enjoyed it too

A large korean restaurant on the second floor of novena square 2. It has a wide range of korean styled food - including the korean grill, ramyun, rice dishes and even a take away. There is even a buffet grill set. We had their seafood pancake, Mandu ramyun and their Dolsot bimbimbap. The food was tasty and seemed quite authentic, portions are moderate. Service was passable but not stellar.!

I'm a fan of their lunch buffet deal. $15.80++ per pax By default they will have a soup of the day, unlimited refill as you wish. Today was silken tofu with seafood (non-spicy) which was awesome. It was loaded with leek to create the fragrance and they were generous with prawn + squid in the soup. Item at the buffet counter today includes; seafood pancake, kimchi pancake, gimbap, kimchi fried rice, japchae, bibimbap ingredients, kimchi stir-fry pork, BBQ pork belly, tteokbokki, jokbal (pig trotter), beef bulgogi, dakgalbi I enjoyed all the meat item very very well. My favourite was the kimchi stir-fry pork as the cooked kimchi tasted a lot better with the soggy texture. The pork was very well-marinated and cooked just-nice for the perfect texture and flavour.

Yea not that bad for Korean food in Singapore. Other places I've been include the Dempsey bbq , the other family restaurant, and some others.. Now I'm not saying this is the best Korean food in Singapore but its not bad for a Korean joint in Singapore. Me n my gf had soon doo bu, bone marrow soup and beef gal bi short ribs. While the gal bi was a little on the short side I was happy to see my sul lung dang was all in order as it should be.. Overall not bad. A bit pricey though wouldve liked more meat gal bi..
